About me

orange portrait with camera small lighter.jpg

I am an artist whose work seeks to give visual form to lived internal experience, and to explore the relationship between the internal self and external ideas of memory, identity, and place. My photographic and book arts work investigates the ways in which landscape and the natural environment can help us understand ourselves – as metaphors for our emotions and psychology, as well as expressions of our more literal relationship to nature and the larger world we inhabit.

I have taught photography in Canada, the US, and Singapore, taught English in Russia, worked in Ireland, and traveled independently through more than 35 countries. I can tell stories for hours; I like stories.

My work has been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions in the United States, Canada, Slovenia, Northern Ireland, England, Guatemala, Japan, Brazil, and Singapore.

I am currently based in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
