RECENT EXHIBITIONS, EVENTS, and REVIEWS:
Artist Residency at the Rensing Center, Pickens, South Carolina: Feburary - March 2015
Winter Studio Residency in photography at Penland School of Crafts, North Carolina: January - Feburary, 2015
My work (with a nice interview in Italian and English!) was featured by the Italian arts and culture website Centro Sociale dell'Arte/Words Social Forum in September, 2014: http://wordsocialforum.com/2014/09/08/oltre-la-memoria-intervista-ad-ann-mansolino/
There's also a nice feature about my photography on the website of the Guatemalan photography organization La Fototeca:
I exhibited at La Fototeca in 2013, as part of their event Fototropía. You can see more of my work on their website: http://www.fototropia.org
Solo exhibition at The Sound Room, Oakland, California: April - May, 2014
FREEZE, THAW, BEGIN AGAIN at D'CLINICstudios, Lendava, Slovenia: December 2013.
You can see images of my work in progress during my residency there as well as images of the exhibition itself at: http://dclinicstudios.com/archive/ann-mansolino
CURRENT AND UPCOMING:
I will be exhibiting at Sage Gallery in Portland, Oregon twice in 2016: in a group exhibition entitled The Spiritual Gift in February, and a solo exhibition later in the spring.
I am teaching classes (digital and darkroom) at Newspace Center for Photography in Portland, Oregon, in winter 2016. http://www.newspacephoto.org
Waging Life at Lycoming College Art Gallery, Williamsport, Pennsylvania: December 2015 - February 2016. This group exhibition examines ideas of the working class and the American dream. I am showing an artist's book called correspondences that addresses these issues in the context of an image of my grandfather in front of the factory where he worked after immigrating in Italy in 1925. I'm always happy when an exhibition provides an opportunity to show work that I am proud of and want to share, but that otherwise doesn't fit with the photographs I ordinarily show.
Natural Wonder: Artists of the Rensing Center at Clemson City Hall in Clemson, South Carolina: September - December, 2015. The show featured the work of former artists-in-residence at the Rensing Center. I'm showing sculptural book-objects that I created during my residency. The Rensing Center is wonderful -- I recommend it highly. http://www.rensingcenter.org
Still Lifes: Perceptions of Inanimate Objects at the Evelyn P. Jorgenson Gallery at Moberly Area Community College, Moberly, Missouri: October - November, 2015.
