ECHOES FROM A BROKEN CONVERSATION

Echoes from a Broken Conversation is an installation that investigates communication, or, more specifically, the gaps and shortcomings in communication between individuals. Despite our best effort to know another person, distance persists: things remain unsaid, unheard, and not fully understood. Sometimes, what remains are not the words themselves, but rather the spaces between them: spaces between words, between thoughts, between individuals. Communication, like the glass of the installation, is fragmented and fragile, though perhaps not as transparent as we'd like to think.
