17 WAYS I TRIED TO FALL ASLEEP

Sleep is difficult for me. In times of stress, especially, I don't get much of it. I present the contents of my medicine cabinet as a means of addressing the inadequacy of pharmaceutical promises of relief to what I am increasingly inclined to believe is an existential, rather than a medical, problem. No wonder, then, despite all the brightly colored pills at my disposal, I find myself awake at 4am, restlessly tossing and turning. (For the record, in case anyone is worried about me, I don't actually take all of these... they were prescribed, but I know better than to believe that they are the solution I am looking for).
